Senator Buruji Kashamu, a former lawmaker representing Ogun East Senatorial District is dead.

He died at the First Cardiology Hospital, Lagos, where a former Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari died in April.

Senator for Bayelsa East in the 8th Senate and media entrepreneur, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce took to Twitter to share the news on Saturday evening.

Senator Ben Murray Bruce made this announcement on his official Twitter handle minutes ago, saying that he has lost a good friend.

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode also took to the platform to express shock at the demise of the late businessman-cum-politician.

He wrote, “Shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of my friend and brother Senator Buruji Kashamu as a result of Covid-19.

“May the Lord honor and reward him with a place in heaven & may He forgive him of all his sins. RIP my old friend. You fought a good fight & we shall miss you.”
