…Monkey Jailed For Life For Killing 1 Person, Injuring 250 After Getting Drunk

According to a report by IANS, a monkey in India has been slapped with a life sentence after it killed a person and injured 250 people after getting drunk with alcohol.

The six-year-old monkey named Kalua, went on a rampage injuring the people and taking the life of one and was deemed too dangerous to live among its kind thus the need for it to be confined for the rest of its life.

The report revealed that the alcoholic monkey belonged to an “occultist” in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, whom local authorities believe fed his pet with a regular diet of hard liquor and, possibly monkey meat.

When the owner was allegedly discovered dead, residents believe the neglected monkey — likely in the throes of withdrawal — took its rage to the streets and began roaming the neighborhood and attacking people, particularly the faces of women and dozens of children.

Victims are reportedly left needing plastic surgery after it ripped open their faces with its fangs.

The animal is reported to have escaped animal trappers in the forests of Mirzapur and has been on the loose for some time before it was finally apprehended.
