BUSINESS TYCOON – E-MONEY IN TROUBLE

WHO IS E-MONEY?

Emeka Okonkwo who is famously known as E-MONEY and also Nigerian youngest billionaire is an entrepreneur, investor, business tycoon and social influencer.

He is one of the most popular Nigerian youngest billionaire and the chief executive officer (CEO) of Five Star Music.

He is into Oil and Gas, Emmy Cargoes Nigeria Limited formerly called Borisa Nigeria Limited  (a shipping company) and also has a different chain of businesses abroad.

E-money’s biography

Emeka Okonkwo was born in Ajegunle, Lagos, Nigeria, on February 18, 1981.

E-Money got his nickname after he started throwing money around and demonstrating what a luxurious life he had. Some other people even refer to him as Arabic money for his over-the-board generosity.

He is the younger brother of the Limpopo crooner, Kcee and also the official sponsor of his music career plus that of Harrysong and Skiibii.

He is also the head of a shipping company called Emmy Cargoes Nig. The company was established in 1997 and was formerly called Borisa Nig. Ltd. He is into real estate as well as oil and gas.

Unlike his elder brother, E-Money is married. He has three sons with his wife, Juliet, whom he’s been married to for about eight years now. According to him, he met Juliet in 2003 when he was still struggling to make money and she was just what he was looking for – a God-fearing and non-materialistic woman.

Being one of the most popular young billionaire in Nigeria’s social media space, people are eager to know how he made his fortune! He used to be an ordinary man who was struggling to make his ends meet, but today we know him as one of the wealthiest young men in Nigeria.

Speaking of his turning point, E-Money recalls coming back to Lagos after their traditional marriage and receiving a call that changed his life forever.

He never told the world the content of the call nor the identity of the caller.

Mohammed Adamu, inspector-general of police (IGP), today ordered the immediate probe of Emeka Okonkwo, over alleged abuse of his police escorts and flashy lifestyle.

Let’s not forget that E-money has been living this flamboyant lifestyle before the IGP appointment. IGP Mohammed Adamu resumed office on the 15th January, 2019.

The IGP has spent over a year in office and I believe that the policemen assigned to E-MONEY wouldn’t have been possible if the IGP didn’t authorize it.

What went wrong? Why the sudden withdrawal of the policemen?

According to Punch, the IGP’s directive followed claims that E-Money was using policemen attached to him like domestic servants.

Adamu was also said to have issued an order to the Lagos state police command mandating the immediate withdrawal of the six policemen attached to the self-acclaimed clearing and forwarding agent.

“We received a signal from the Force headquarters on Monday that the police detail of music executive, E-Money, be immediately withdrawn and an investigation into the man be launched,” the media outlet quoted a police source as saying.

“The IG was surprised that policemen were attached to him in the first place and were being used like domestic servants, carrying umbrellas, opening doors, and doing menial jobs for him.

“The policemen were discovered to be attached to B Operations at the command headquarters and not MOPOL which is the usual practice. So, we have withdrawn his policemen and we are inviting him for questioning. The policemen will also be interrogated.”

God is your strength E-money..
