Hembafan Toryila is the name of the EFCC officer who ordered the arrest of the owner of Star Shawarma and the entire staff as seen in a video making it round the internet.

The officer made Shawarma order of N1500 and wrongly transferred N1,600. The people at Star Shawarma didn’t see alert of N1500. They thought the N1600 was for a different order.

When they realized that the N1600 was from her they apologised to her but she refused and decided she will deal with the owner of the place, Mnena Anita Ato.

Hembafan took armed men and other EFCC officers and arrested the owner of Star Shawarma and all her staff. They were all detained and later released but the owner was held in detention because of what they called alleged fraud attempt of N1,600 (One thousand six Hundred naira only).

Many Nigerians have reacted to the arrest of the entire staff and owner of Star Shawarma by the EFCC over N1,600.

While reacting to the arrest, one Okunola Akeju was happy that the EFCC was able to arrest the owner and the entire staff of Star Shawarma, he said “Very well said. Crime is crime irrespective of the amount. A person that get away with 1600 naira that belong to someone, will make an attempt to get away with 16 million naira if he had the opportunity. The 1600 naira issues might just be a sting operations, who knows” – said Okunola Akeju.

Many Other Nigerians have reacted and some have a contrary opinion to that of Okunola.
