
The speaker house of representative, Femi Gbajabiamila left Nigeria to meet with Ghanians government over the maltreatment of Nigerian citizens trading in Ghana.

In the past months, Nigeria and Ghana have engaged in diplomatic rows owing to the demolition and seizure of buildings belonging to the Nigeria embassy in the country.
According to reports, criminal attacks were made on the residential building within Nigeria’s diplomatic premises in Ghana.
In one of the attacks, a bulldozer was used by unknown persons to demolish the building within the premises.
The crisis was ,however, heightened with reports of closure of shops owned by Nigerians in Ghana and multiple cases of harassment.
Nigeria’s information minister, Lai Mohammed, accused the Ghanaian authorities of extortion, incessant arrests and activities contravening the Vienna convention.
The Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties (VCLT) is an international agreement regulating treaties between States, signed by 45 countries including Nigeria and Ghana.
