There are concerns over allegations of civilians been brutalized by armed forces in Nigeria.

In a video circulating on social media, some Nigerian soldiers were seen severely brutalizing an unarmed civilian, and kicked him into a dirty drainage.

Civil rights associations have always condemned this inhumane treatment and have severally call on the authority concern to ensure full respect of international human rights law and the armed forces’ Code of Conduct, which requires its members to “respect the obligations, rules and principles of Human Rights”.
