An unfortunate incident has occurred at Chantan, a suburb of Accra when a 21-year old lady accidentally killed her own brother who happens to be a police officer.

The tragedy occurred when the lady paid a visit to her brother who was getting ready for work. The lady Shakirah Nasir picked up the brother’s gun in order to give to him as he readies for work but unfortunately, the trigger went off killing the officer instantly.

Elder sister of the deceased one Abubakar Habibatu who heard the sound of the gunshot, from her brother’s room and saw him lying on the floor unconscious. She later rushed him to Lapas Community Hospital for treatment but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body of the deceasded has been deposisted at the morgue, pending further investatagions.
