The Akyem Tafo police are in search of popular fetish Priest Togbe Shitor for allegedly faking his death.

According to the police, the fetish priest connived with his close followers to create the impression that he had passed away. Leading some unsuspecting sympathizers who were grieved by their sudden loss to mourn him amid the firing of gunshots at the shrine while singing dirges.

News of the sudden death of the fetish priest spread like wildfire in the Koforidua township amid speculations that he must have died from the much-dreaded coronavirus.

The Police in Akyem New Tafo dispatch some men to the shrine to maintain order, to their surprise they met the supposedly dead fetish priest alive and active. He took to his heels immediately he spotted the police, but the police managed to arrest two of his accomplices.

Sources claim he later submitted himself to the police and will be processed for court.
