My Story : On Activism

Activism is Sacrifice. You need to give up a lot for people you don’t even know,. Wow, Twale to you all… ” MY HEROES”

I am a graduate of the then Federal University of Technology, now known as Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola.

I was once a student union activist. It happened in my 200 level days. I was supporting my guy , Papilo,..Olanreju Joshua. He contested for the post of social director, that was 2010. My potential president then, Abdulgafar, He contested against Patoski.. both are my friends..( though the election was cancelled and student union government was banned..)

In short, I and a rugged comrade was caught distributing flyers, handbills, ..” we were against the constituted student union committee headed by, Hamza, (a brother to a good friend of mine but has graduated by the time he was appointed to head the committee, in short all members of the committee were graduates)

Kai, two stubborn comrades, Eyitayo Babayemi Olalekan and Omole Ayokunle Paul, stood against it.. This was what happened ooo, and was handed a letter of indefinite suspension.

Attached are the pictures of the letters, saying ” we are inciting the students against the activities of the Student Union Committee Activities”..

Thank God, my papa know person wey know person wey come know better person, ( there are still some good people in Nigeria that can tell their boss the truth )

These three heroes here will tell you what they feel, even if you are their boss..

I had to consider the love for my family, my parents and my siblings, and let go of activism.

These three heroes have been beaten up, molested, arrested…but they are still standing tall even on their toes..
