Justice Department ceases Michael Flynn prosecution

The Justice Department is ceasing its prosecution of retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn on charges of lying to federal investigators; Chief White House correspondent John Roberts reports.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., slammed the head of the Justice Department (DOJ) Thursday after he announced that the case of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn will be dropped.

“This dismissal does not exonerate him,” Schiff said of Flynn, who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI back 2017 about his Russian contacts. “But it does incriminate Bill Barr.”

Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI about his illicit Russian contacts.

His lies do not now become truths.

This dismissal does not exonerate him.

But it does incriminate Bill Barr.
