A known supporter of the 2019 APGA governorship candidate Senator Ifeanyi Araraume have called out Imo Speaker Collins Chiji to defend his certificate claims like former Governor Ikedi Ohakim had done when he was governor.

The challenge was made in a Facebook open letter at the Imo Speaker by Mr Bright Ugwumsinachi which reads as follows:

“DEDEM AVOID A CERTIFICATE SCANDAL PLEASE

Hello Mr Speaker, IMO State House Of Assembly. Your silence on the burning issue is no longer golden at the moment. 

In 2010, i could remember vividly when Chief Sir Ikedi Ohakim was wrongly accused of forging a certificate of a certain institution in Lagos State and his army of Course Mates didn’t waste time to come to his rescue. They exonerated our Ex Governor from such scandal by testifying how and when they schooled with him. It was cleared with other things used in backing up their claims including his certificate which was displayed in the public during his 2011 guber campaign.  

Today, Rt Hon Chiji Collins has refused to display his certificates before the good people of IMO State in order to calm down the burning issue in the polity. It is worthy of note that IMO State is a complex State and her legislative chamber can not be steered by any certificate forger. On this note Sir, you are hereby requested to display the pictures you took during your NYSC days, Convocation ceremony or pictures of your acclaimed PHD certificate. Inaugurating a committee for such is a SHOW of SHAME. Such committee will certainly house your Allies who will not let cats out of the bag. It has been viewed that your allies in the committee will definitely protect you from negativities.

What is even difficult in doing that Sir? Just snap or scan the pictures you took during your Masters/PHD days and upload them here in order to calm down the pressure coming from the situation. We your constituents are no longer comfortable with the latest development.

Dr Ikedi Ohakim and Collins Chiji are from the same Isiala Mbano with Senator Ifeanyi Araraume.

Chiji had become a House of Assembly member through the support of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume who also ensured he went for a second tenure despite his poor performance in his first tenure.

Chiji has in recent time being engulf by a certificate scandal with a former lawmaker Lawman Duruji recently calling him to show his certificate.

With this call from a supporter of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume and the seeming silence of the Isiebu political giant over Chiji’s travails, there are indications that the relationship between them may not be a smooth as it used to be.

Chiji who won under the APGA platform have crisscrossed to PDP and APC making him the most decamped politician in a short time in Imo history.
