MOB HACKS SECURITY OFFICERS DOWN – Covid-19 Lockdown

An angry crowd of youths yesterday heckled security agents who stormed the Kasuwar Barci market in Tudun Wada Kaduna to enforce the lockdown.

The state government while announcing the lockdown had exempted traders of essential commodities from the lockdown, while others were asked to stay away at home.

Two vehicles carrying the security agents made up of soldiers, police and Civilian JTF had arrived the market along Ibrahim Taiwo road where second-hand clothe sellers (Gwamjo) displayed their wares at about noon, ordering sellers of non-essential items to leave.

“Some of the traders had already started packing their goods when some area boys who were not traders started shouting “karya ne, karya ne” as security agents tried to seize their phones which they were using to record the incident.
